Souvenirs D'Enfance, in English, Childhood Memories, was the first Clayderman's piano song I learned.

 

I played piano since age of 6. And there is so much complicated feelings towards piano in my childhood.

I recalled the excitedness when I learned a new song. But I also remembered the time being punished by parents as I was impatient of practice. I did not like being forced.

For almost 10 years, practicing became part of my routine, but never the thing I was passionate for. I kept wondering when I would have time to pursue the art I loved for long. 

 

Now, the big black box sitting quietly in my room for a long time. I eventually decided to quit it and start to learn drawing which I longed for.

I won't forget those touching songs I learned and those effort I paid. All those hose good and bad feelings became only my childhood memory.
